Located in the garden behind Miramar Zeemuseum is the Whale Trail. Follow a shell path and wander past signs featuring fun questions and special facts about the whale. The Whale Trail is freely accessible to the public, even outside the opening hours of Miramar.
You can have a fun day out with the entire family at Miramar Zeemuseum. There is plenty to do here for all ages. When you visit Miramar, you can take part in a fun treasure hunt. Or you can draw or solve puzzles in the children’s corner.
With a microscope, you will see a lot more than with the naked eye. In the children’s corner a microscope is ready to be used on a diverse collection of samples. You can examine corals and sand, but also all kinds of rocks (micromounts). Curious? Come and have a look.
Additionally, there is always a crafting activity with sea shells. For a small fee of €2.50 you can create a sea monster from your imagination, or transform a jar into a tealight holder with shells.
In our beautiful museum garden you will find a short trail with signs featuring questions and fun facts about the whale. This trail is informative and entertaining for the entire family. It provides a surprising addition to the other activities you can experience at the museum.
The whale trail was created as a preview of our new temporary exhibition.
